Segway All-Day gives you the best of Philly by Segway – you’ll experience both our favorite tours, 1-Hour Segway Adventure and our 2-Hour Segway Adventure, all in one epic day.
1-Hour Segway Tour
The beginning of your tour starts directly next to the beautiful Delaware River. Here, you’ll get a wonderful panoramic view of New Jersey and The Benjamin Franklin Bridge. As you glide up Race Street, you’ll enjoy one of the most photographed streets in America, Elfreth’s Alley. Continue along thru Old City, the original neighborhood of Philadelphia, now home to art studios and galleries. Roll along and find yourself in the Queen Village section, an historic local neighborhood normally overlooked by travelers.
Then, travel through the iconic Italian Market (very popular with fans of the Rocky movies) before you experience the eclectic South Street – viewing the Philadelphia Magic Gardens and several blocks along this historic street. Your next neighborhood to explore is Society Hill with gorgeous historic homes, the nation’s first hospital (Penn Hospital), and quaint, quiet streets.
Finally, head through the Independence Mall area, along Race Street, and back to our location next to the Delaware river.
2-Hour Segway Tour
The beginning of your 2-hour tour starts off similarly to the 1-hour tour. You’ll travel up Race Street, and through the Historic District, as you pass some classic sites, including Elfreth’s Alley, the Betsy Ross House, Franklin’s Grave, and Independence Hall. Your tour will then head into the beautiful neighborhood of Society Hill, where the architecture of the stately homes here are a feast for the eyes. The aroma from the many coffee shops and restaurants along the way inspires your senses.
Pass across the Avenue of the Arts on the way to Rittenhouse Square, and then wind through the Fitler Square neighborhood to the Schuylkill River. The scenery changes again here as you work your way along the paths of the Schuylkill Banks with the countless other runners, walkers, and bikers, toward the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Great views over the Boat Houses and of the Water Works will give your guide plenty of photos to take with you as the main feature.
The statue of Rocky adorns the area at the bottom of the famous steps that he ran in 1976, and perhaps your guide will give the chance to run the steps before you head on to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Here, you’ll find the Thinker by Auguste Rodin and the famous Barnes Foundation, as well as Logan Circle. Your guide takes you into some of the back streets towards the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Chinatown, Old City, and back to the Philly by Segway headquarters.
We make safety a high priority on your adventure, and we know you’ll return with a much greater appreciation of the city by the end of your exciting 2-Hour Segway PT Tour of Philadelphia.
Photos will be taken throughout the tour by your guide. You will receive these photos free of charge via email within 24 – 48 hours of your tour!
